TE350: BICSI Technician Training

TE350 Overview

The TE350 course prepares participants with the skills required of a structured cabling systems technician. It focuses on copper and optical fiber installation, troubleshooting, project planning, safety practices, blueprint reading, bonding and grounding, and firestopping.

Hands-On Training Includes:

• Interpreting blueprints and applying labeling per ANSI/TIA-606
• Troubleshooting UTP link/channel with certification test sets
• Troubleshooting optical fiber channels using an OTDR
• Implementing best practices in bonding, grounding, and firestopping?.

Course Duration

• 5 ½ days (theory and hands-on training)
• Includes written and hands-on assessments

Experienced ICT installers (minimum 3 years) who wish to:

Prerequisites & Preparation

• At least 3 years of ICT cabling installation experience (within the last 5 years)
• Recommended: Completion of Installer 2 Copper & Installer 2 Optical Fiber training
• 50+ hours of study using the ITSIMM prior to class
• Courses IN225 (1 year exp.) & IN250 (2 years exp.) recommended for less-prepared learners

Additional Exam Tasks: If Installer 2 Copper & Fiber credentials are not held, students must complete 4 additional hands-on tasks and 30 extra written exam questions.
