DD101 & DD102 Overview
DD101: Foundations of Telecommunications Distribution Design (BICSI CONNECT)
This course introduces students to voice/data cabling systems and builds foundational knowledge essential for a career as a Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD). It also serves as the prerequisite for DD102: Designing Telecommunications Distribution Systems.
To earn continuing education credits (CECs), students must pass a 50-question online end-of-course assessment included in the course fee. The course provides 90 days of access. The one-hour assessment requires a 75% passing score and cannot be retaken.

DD102: Designing Telecommunications Distribution Systems (5 days)
This hands-on course focuses on designing structured cabling systems, including telecommunications spaces and horizontal/backbone distribution systems. Students learn through case studies, blueprint exercises, and real-world problem-solving.
DD102 has been fully updated to better prepare students for the RCDD® exam, starting hands-on learning from day one. The course also includes take-home assignments and a final group project to apply all concepts learned.
