IN225 Overview

The IN225 course builds advanced skills in structured cabling installation, focusing on copper cabling systems. It covers copper transmission principles, safety practices, IDC terminations, coaxial cable handling, and structured testing based on BICSI standards.

Hands-On Training Includes:

• Performing IDC terminations (210 and GigaBIX)
• Terminating and testing UTP and STP systems
• Installing and testing coaxial cable
• Applying industry best practices in copper cabling installation

• 5 days (theory and hands-on training)
• Includes written and hands-on assessments

Prerequisites & Preparation

• At least 1 year of verifiable ICT cabling installation experience
• Recommended: Completion of IN101 or equivalent on-the-job training
• Familiarity with basic copper cabling tools and testing equipment
• 40+ hours of study using the ITSIMM prior to class
